Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Kokomo, Indiana. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

• Prepare examination rooms and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain a health history, measure vital signs, and perform EKGs.
• Administer injections, collect lab specimens, and ensure proper handling for analysis.
• Accurately document patient care and procedures using NextGen electronic medical records.
• Manage scheduling, prior authorizations, medication refills, referrals, phone inquiries, and paperwork.
• Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with minor in-office procedures, ensuring patient comfort and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate, GED or equivalent
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Basic Life Support (AHA) certification
• Over 1 year of medical assistant experience

Additional Information:

• Location: Kokomo, Indiana
• Job Type: contract to hire.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday – 08:00 am to 05:00 pm
• Pay Range: $ 17.00 to 23.00/hour.

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
