Job Title : Medical Coder
Rate : $20 to $21 / hr W2
Duration : 3 month contract with possibility of extension (depends on your performance and team)
Shift : 1st Shift

Job Description : Job Summary :
The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing patient medical records post-visit or procedure and translating the information into the appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes used by insurers to process claims.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures.
- Apply knowledge of medical terminology, hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines to complete coding tasks.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse team, resolving coding issues through problem-solving.
- Ensure high attention to detail in identifying and correcting coding or billing errors.
- Maintain organizational and time-management skills to meet productivity standards and deadlines.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members to achieve team goals and success.
- Adapt to evolving job responsibilities and new coding requirements as needed.
- Work independently while ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks with minimal supervision.
- Manage and maintain coding credentials and certifications.
- Maintain proficiency in the use of computers, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
- Stay updated on ICD-10 coding practices, medical field trends, and government regulations.
