Description: Job Title: Temporary Medical Coder (Pathology)Job Overview:

we are seeking a qualified Medical Coder to support new business operations. This is a temporary, contract-based position for experienced coders specializing in pathology. The role involves applying CPT-4 and ICD-10 codes accurately, working within a remote setting.

Job Details

• Job Type: Contract
• Pay Rate: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
• Location: Remote (work on a PC with dual monitors; tasks are assigned via workflow processes)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Overtime/Weekends: Not required
• Team Structure: 18-member team, including a supervisor, lead, QC analyst, and 14 medical coders
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately code dictated pathology reports using CPT-4 and ICD-10
• Perform clerical duties as assigned by the supervisor or team lead
• Communicate effectively with team members, billing representatives, and superiors to ensure smooth workflow
• Adhere to company and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  
  

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or GED (required)
• Certifications:
• AAPC certification as Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required
• ICD-10 coding certification (AAPC) required
• Experience: Pathology coding experience is a must
• Skills:
• Proficiency in medical terminology
• Strong organizational skills
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
