We seek a Principal Project Engineer to lead complex projects, facilitate multi-disciplinary teams, and provide technical consulting across departments. This role requires strong leadership, analytical expertise, and the ability to influence senior administrators and medical leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex projects, providing technical analyses and strategic recommendations.
- Facilitate multi-disciplinary teams, including senior administrators and medical leaders, to drive performance improvement initiatives.
- Act as a technical consultant to departments, preparing reports and coordinating implementation efforts.
- Train and mentor staff members in areas of technical expertise.
- Supervise tasks of consultants, senior consultants, or analysts while ensuring project success.
- Communicate regularly with senior management on project progress and key deliverables.
Qualifications:
✔️ Experience:
- 5 years of organizational performance improvement experience.
- 2-3 years of supervisory and/or consulting experience.
- Previous healthcare experience preferred.
✔️ Skills & Expertise:
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities for multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Sound decision-making, analytical, and process improvement knowledge.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Certification as a Malcolm Baldrige examiner is a plus.
✔️ Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced training in project management or related fields preferred.

Location - Troy, MI (Hybrid)
Pay Rate - $46.17 - $66.42/hr.
