Are you passionate about advancing privacy compliance in the healthcare sector? We are seeking an experienced Privacy Officer to join our team and help shape a culture of integrity, compliance, and confidentiality across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of compliance professionals to develop, implement, and monitor compliance and privacy programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal healthcare program requirements and regulatory guidance from OCR, OIG, DOJ, CMS, and Texas HHS.
- Oversee auditing, monitoring, training, and corrective action development related to compliance and privacy initiatives.
- Promote a "speak-up" culture free from retaliation and manage ethics reporting and conflicts of interest programs.
- Lead cross-functional teams, manage interdepartmental projects, and oversee responses to third-party audits and inquiries.
- Provide leadership in monitoring external regulatory changes and adopting industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (Required)
- Master’s degree (Preferred)
Experience:
- 8 years in healthcare operations or compliance, ideally in large healthcare systems or academic medical centers.
- Expertise in privacy and security-related activities, including investigations, auditing, and risk mitigation.
Certifications (Any of the following):
- Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC)
- Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US)
- Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS)
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)
Key Skills:
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and other tools commonly used in healthcare environments.
- Ability to mentor teams, manage projects under pressure, and inspire confidence among stakeholders.
- High personal and professional integrity, with a balanced "need-to-know" approach to privacy matters.

- Compensation: $61 - $103/Hr.
