Job Description:

Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist (General)

Location: Bronx, NY

Schedule: Mon-Fri (8x5)

Shift: Day (8AM-5PM)

Pay Range: $2750-3000/week

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures to assist in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform a variety of ultrasound exams, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, and vascular imaging, to provide high-quality diagnostic images.

· Ensure proper patient positioning and prepare patients for ultrasound exams, explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety and ensure cooperation.

· Operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring optimal image quality.

· Analyze and evaluate ultrasound images and provide preliminary reports for review by the attending physician or radiologist.

· Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

· Follow established protocols and safety standards to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

· Provide patient education regarding ultrasound procedures and post-exam instructions.

· Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.

· Maintain ultrasound equipment, perform routine quality checks, and report any malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

· Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required.

· BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred.
