Pride Health is seeking Ultrasound Technologist to join a team in Metairie, LA 70001. This is a 13-week contract with a possible extension.
Job Description:
- Perform diagnostic procedure
- Produce diagnostic images using Doppler, abdominal or other ultrasound
- Prepare preliminary ultrasound report for physician
- Keys in test data and patient information into computer to maintain records of test result
- Maintains and calibrate equipment to insure accuracy of results
- Explain procedure to patient so that they are well informed regarding the examination
- Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
- Assists with transporting patient to and from the exam room
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers or Ultrasound Sonographer
- 1 year’s experience as a Cardiology Tech
- Current RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or must be registry eligible
- Current BLS.
Additional Information:
Location: Metairie, New Orleans, Slidell
Schedule: Three days a week; 8:00- 5:00pm
Contract Length:13 weeks
Local Pay Rate: $50.00/Hour - $52.00/Hour
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
