Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Job Type: Contract

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Rate: Starting at $46.00/hourly

Regarding Travel For This Role

• How often is travel required? Three days a week
• Will you travel to more than one location within a work shift? No, travel will be limited to one location per work shift.
  
  

Specific Duties

• Perform diagnostic sonography examinations using ultrasonic equipment in various modes to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, functional, and pathological data.
• Produce diagnostic images using Doppler, abdominal, or other ultrasound techniques.
• Prepare preliminary ultrasound reports for physicians.
• Input test data and patient information into computer systems to maintain accurate records of test results.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy of results.
• Explain procedures to patients to keep them well-informed regarding the examination.
• Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
• Assist with transporting patients to and from the exam room.
  
  

Must-Have Qualifications/Experience

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers or Ultrasound Sonographers.
• 1 years of experience as a Cardiology Technician.
• Current RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification or registry eligibility.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
