Position: Production Technician

Location: Wharton, NJ

Pay: $25/hour

Job Type: Permanent / Direct-Hire

Schedule: 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM, Monday through Saturday

Job Description:

We are looking for a Process Technician to join our client's team in Wharton, NJ. This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing processing equipment to ensure production runs smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Follow food safety, quality, and safety regulations (GMPs, HACCP, SQF, etc.).
• Learn how to operate and repair machinery in the assigned area.
• Ensure products meet quality and integrity standards.
• Set up, use, and maintain welding, torch, and electrical equipment.
• Perform fabrication and welding (stick, MIG, TIG) as needed.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Perform electrical repairs, including motor, switch, and frequency drive replacements.
• Troubleshoot and repair solenoids, plumbing, and gearboxes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and repair manuals.
• Install and remove new and used equipment.
• Identify and order replacement parts.
• Work in high places and use ladders safely.
• Heavy lifting required.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Communicate with operators to troubleshoot problems.
• Report equipment issues to supervisors.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Support all areas of processing operations.
• Work well with supervisors and team members.

Requirements:

• Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, welding, and plumbing repairs.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working at heights and lifting heavy materials.
• Forklift experience (preferred).
• Understanding of food safety regulations.
