In this role, you will be responsible for terminating fiber optic cable and producing customized fiber optic cable assemblies for aerospace industrial and broadcast customers. As a trained professional, you will work with specific equipment and processes to deliver high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the work area by organizing materials and tools.
- Verify materials received with the work order to ensure accuracy.
- Measure, cut, and strip the fiber cable to precise specifications.
- Terminate the fiber to the connector using epoxy.
- Heat and cure the connection to achieve optimal results.
- Crimp, polish (hand and/or machine), and perform optical testing.
- Heat shrink/label and package the final product.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Able to read engineering drawings, work orders, and written procedures.
- Precise hands, excellent vision, concentration, patience, and hand-eye coordination.
