A rapidly growing technology company in Laguna Niguel is seeking Production Operators to produce customized fiber optic cable assemblies for aerospace, industrial, and broadcast customers.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be trained on specific equipment and processes. They will work in a quality management system certified to internationally recognized ISO 9001 and AS9100D standards.
This is a temp-to-hire position with a starting pay of $20/hour from 7 AM to 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday).
Responsibilities:
- Preparing the work area
- Verifying materials received with the work order
- Measuring, cutting, and stripping the fiber cable
- Terminating the fiber to the connector with epoxy
- Heating and curing the connection
- Crimping, polishing (hand and/or machine)
- Optical testing
- Heat shrinking/labeling, and packaging
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- English language proficiency
- Ability to read engineering drawings, work orders, and written procedures
- Steady and precise hands, excellent vision, concentration, patience, and hand-eye coordination
- Prior experience in fiber optic cable terminations and assemblies is desirable but not required
