Materials Handler

PrideStaff, Central Oregon's top rated staffing and recruiting firm, is currently seeking a Material Handler for a great opportunity with one of Central Oregon's biotech companies. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of working experience in fast paced production environment.

Compensation and Benefits for the Materials Handler :

M-F, 40-50 hour work weeks with overtime opportunity

Responsibilities of the Materials Handler :

Performing a variety of operations

Receiving : Unloading incoming materials, verifying their quality and quantity, and documenting receipts

Properly storing materials in designated locations, ensuring they are organized and easily accessible

Inventory Management : Maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting audits, reporting discrepancies

Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials within the facility

Preparing materials for shipment, including labeling, packing, and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations

Inspecting materials for damage or defects and taking appropriate actions.

Experience and Qualifications :

Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred

Knowledge of warehouse management systems and processes

Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently

Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately pick and pack orders

Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues

Overall, the materials handler will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials through the facility, contributing to the success of manufacturing and distribution operations.
