What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at PrideStaff?
PrideStaff is currently seeking a 1st / 2nd Shift Quality Inspectors for a well known and respected manufacturing company located in Rockford, Illinois.
1st & 2nd shifts available
10 hour shifts x 4 days
- Must be available for OT
1st shift : 3am-1pm M-TH
2nd shift : 1pm-11pm M-TH $19-$24 per hour DOE ( shift differential)
Responsibilities :
To assure that the required inspections are being performed at all manufacturing processes, that product is properly packed, handled and identified, and that all outgoing product meets the requirements of the respective blueprint and / or control plan.
Tasks :
Conduct or support the inspection and audit requirements as defined in the APQP and PPAP processes. This includes the inspection of products in the In coming, In-process, Final and Safe launch areas.
Perform dimensional analysis as required.
Address internal and external customer concerns, assure proper containment of suspect materials, support the root cause and corrective action process, and validate those actions when directed.
Perform product sorting and certification processes as needed, including on-site at the customer when required.
Support the QA Department EI and PVD board requirements.
Support continuous improvement activities per direction.
Support the organization where needed with the training and awareness requirements associated with any of the above.
All other duties assigned by the Quality Manager.
Requirements, Qualifications, Skills and Experience :
Working knowledge of dimensional layout techniques, including hand-tools and CMM applications.
Working knowledge of blueprints, GD&T, and other design specifications.
Applied knowledge of root cause and problem-solving methods.
Moderate computer proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Need to become proficient in 4th Shift, as needed to perform quality related inventory transactions, and initiate "Need to Inspect / Hold" situations
MUST be able to read blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures
