What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool Shop Technician position at PrideStaff?
PrideStaff is working with a family-owned business that provides commercial facility maintenance services. The successful candidate for this position will have experience applying 5S methods and a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical tools. The candidate will be working at the data center of one of the premier players in the data center industry.
Location: Leesburg, VA
Schedule: Mon-Frin7:00A-3:30 PM (30 minute lunch)
Compensation: $22.00/hr
Key Duties:
- Perform 5S audits and implement improvements to maintain a well-organized workspace.
- Create and enforce 5S procedures across all areas.
- Manage tool storage, ensuring proper labeling and accessibility.
- Establish and manage tool control systems (e.g., shadow boards).
- Conduct tool inventories and track usage.
- Recommend and implement tool management enhancements.
- Maintain and repair tools.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, or logistical tools or work.
Preferred:
- OSHA 10-hour general industry certification, NFPA 70E training, CPR/AED/First Aid, BBP, and fire extinguisher training.
- Company will reimburse for required training if not already obtained, contingent on successful completion.
