Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar.
- Verify patient insurance information and handle insurance verification processes.
- Expirience in Practice Fusion
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation review.
- Utilize Meditech software for patient management and health information management.
- Assist with medical terminology inquiries and provide support in understanding ICD-9 coding when necessary.
- Perform 10 key typing tasks for data entry and record keeping.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
- Handle phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in Meditech or similar electronic health record systems is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, including familiarity with ICD-9 coding.
- Bilingual candidates are highly desirable to assist diverse patient populations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation review.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in health information management is beneficial.
- Knowledge of dental office procedures is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective patient interaction.
