Job Overview
The HR assistant will be responsible for managing and executing a variety of HR functions to support our agency under the supervision on the HR Director. This role involves coordinating recruitment, managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws and MCO regulations, and supporting the overall HR needs of our team. Travel is required. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture, and reliable transportation.
Duties
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Travel is required for completing orientations at outer locations.
- Coordinate and manage the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and selection.
- Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Maintain accurate employee records and files.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Address and resolve employee issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Compliance and Administration:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with MCO regulations and assist with audits.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Manage employee benefits administration and assist employees with benefits-related questions.
Training and Development:
- Coordinate employee training programs and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.
Record Keeping:
- Run and track monthly registry, background and exclusion checks.
- Track quarterly and annual supervisions, contracts, client specifics, trainings, etc.
- File documentation in the appropriate personnel charts.
Skills
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of recruiting processes and best practices.
- Proficiency in using HR software such as ADP and Microsoft.
- Conflict resolution.
- Good phone and email etiquette.
- Be adaptable and flexible due to the ever changing nature of the agency needs.
Education
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
Experience
- 1 or more years of human resource experience: or;
- 3 or more years of office administration experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
