Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Market Analyst for our client, a prominent player in the sustainable energy and polymers industry. In this role, you will be at the forefront of research and analysis, contributing to the company’s efforts in advancing bioplastics and sustainable solutions. In this role, you will have the chance to gain deep insights into the polymer market, especially focusing on Polylactic Acid (PLA), while developing strategies for growth and expansion in North America.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market analysis with a primary focus on Polylactic Acid (PLA) and secondary analysis on other sustainable products in the polymer converting industry.
- Map opportunities and weaknesses for Polymers Americas, focusing on customer base segmentation and market prospects.
- Directly engage with customers purchasing PLA and potential customers outside of the current client base, exploring new market segments.
- Analyze legislative trends and status impacting PLA and other sustainable polymers.
- Identify key associations and influencers with potential impacts on PLA and sustainable products.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including account coordination, logistics, and demand planning, to understand the full order-to-cash process.
- Occasionally travel with the Sales team to visit prospects, customers, or attend trade fairs within the U.S.
- Gain a deep understanding of polymer markets, including polypropylene, polystyrene, recycled polymers, and PLA.
Qualifications:
- At least 4 years of market analysis experience.
- MUST be located in the Houston, Texas area.
- Experience in the polymer industry is a plus but not required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to summarize and condense large volumes of data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience or familiarity with sustainability initiatives and bioplastics is advantageous.
