Solar Interconnection to Field Technician - REMOTE OPPORTUNITIES

Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Solar Interconnection to Field Technician for our client, a leader in the renewable energy space. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the solar industry while gaining valuable experience in troubleshooting and technical support. Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line technical assistance to customers, installers, and field technicians via phone, email, and chat.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to battery storage systems, inverters, and energy management components.
• Guide customers through basic setup, configuration, and system diagnostics.
• Accurately log all support interactions and resolutions in the company’s ticketing system (Freshdesk/Salesforce).
• Communicate technical solutions clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical users.
• Escalate unresolved issues to T2 Service Technicians for field intervention when necessary.
• Complete structured training to gain certification in troubleshooting and system diagnostics.
• Learn to interpret electrical schematics, system alerts, and performance data.
• Work towards T2 qualification, gaining hands-on experience in field service procedures.
• Collaborate with senior technicians, engineers, and product teams to improve troubleshooting guides and knowledge base articles.
• Provide feedback on common customer pain points to enhance training and product documentation.
• Participate in regular team training sessions and process improvement discussions.

Qualifications:

• Technical aptitude with supporting experience in electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high customer service standards.
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to learning and process improvement.
• Comfortable with technology—experience with CRM/ticketing systems (Freshdesk, Salesforce) is a plus.
• Experience in solar, battery storage, or energy systems is required.
• Electrical or mechanical training/certifications are beneficial.
• Background in customer service, IT support, or technical call centers is highly desirable.
