POSITION SUMMARY:
The Event Coordinator is responsible for overseeing staff and operational functions for The PM Lounge. Key responsibilities include coordinating, conceptualizing and managing The PM Lounge catering and events partnering with the Sales & Catering Director. The Coordinator will help identify prospective Members, develop proposals, assist in contracts and ensure that all aspects of each event are carried our flawlessly. . To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Work with Members and build relationships to boost sales.
2. Assist in creating and presenting proposals to meet Members needs and preferences.
3. Assist in contracts with Members and suppliers.
4. Coordinate with the event team to ensure all aspects of each event are handled.
5. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities.
6. Budgeting for events, identifying equipment needs and meeting sales target.
7. Handle Member complaints.
8. Ensure all catering operations comply with relevant legal, health and safety regulations.
9. Develop and implement sales strategies and promotional activities.
10. Prepare and present reports on sales performance and market trends.
11. Build and maintain strong relationships with Members.
12. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
13. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple events at the same time.
14. Excellent communication skills.
15. Knowledge of food & beverage trends and best practices.
16. Leadership skills to manage a team of event staff, providing training and motivation to ensure high-quality service.
17. Critical thinking to address potential issues and challenges that may arise during the planning or execution of an event.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
A minimum of two years’ experience as an Event Coordinator is required. Must be 21 years of age or over. High personal integrity, professionalism, and maturity. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Solid relationship management and performance management skills. Ability to motivate and direct staff and work effectively with the management team. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills. Strong writing and documentation skills. .Accounting, Bar Knowledge, Housekeeping, Reservations, Food Service, and Audio Visual. Operational skills in Member Services, Concierge Program, and Marketing. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, and raise arms above head on occasion.
