Production Supervisor – Summary
The Production Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations on the plant floor while increasing production and revenue. The Production Supervisor will be accountable for all aspects of plant performance and will ensure that objectives are attained in a consistent cost-effective manner that’s consistent with quality requirements. This role is a 3rd shift position (10 pm - 6 am) and reports directly to the Manager and VP of Supply Change.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing production staff members. These duties include providing team development, conducting performance review, scheduling staff, job assignment and continuous process improvements. This supervisory position is also responsible for ensuring production staff’s adherence to all health and safety polices and regulations.
Position Responsibilities:
• Oversee all phases of the production process and review all maintenance needs within the department with the Maintenance & Engineering management staff.
• Assist the Health & Safety Program to meet all Company goals established.
• Work alongside Production Manager to meet or exceed any and all external audits, assisting with internal audit groups and provide better quality management techniques.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment. This includes correcting unsafe acts/conditions, facilitating monthly safety meetings, performing monthly safety inspections, and investigating accidents, as required.
• Supports the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the food safety system.
• Manage and control facility equipment to ensure we meet all environmental regulations of the Federal, State, and local governments.
• Responsible for assuring compliance with all Food Safety policies, procedures and regulatory criterion including the Good Manufacturing Practices, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and associated Preventive Controls.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Provides administration and supervision of the plant production function as directed.
• Adheres to all health, food safety, HACCP, Allergen, sanitation standard operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Maintain all records accurately and completely.
• Hold self and team accountable to policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
• Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
Education and Experience:
• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership position, preferably Food and Beverage, preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering results and leading people/projects in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent time management, prioritization, presentation, and negation skills • Strong and effective communication skills – written & oral
• Computer Proficiency (MS Office Applications)
