We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Perform specimen collection and processing, including blood sampling and venipuncture.
- Conduct laboratory tests in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy to accurately interpret test results.
- Assist in clinical trials by preparing samples and documenting findings.
- Utilize PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) techniques for various diagnostic purposes.
- Ensure compliance with hospital regulations and safety standards during all laboratory procedures.
- Manage data effectively, ensuring accurate record-keeping of test results and patient information.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to patient care plans.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring all tools are calibrated and functioning correctly.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures.
- Strong background in specimen collection processing, particularly blood sampling techniques.
- Knowledge of data management systems used in medical laboratories is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
