Job Summary: The Construction Project & Field Engineer will be a dual athlete and oversee the on-site implementation of construction plans, managing project schedules, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. They will work closely with project managers, architects and internal team to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
Job Responsibilities: Including but not limited to
- Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed according to design, budget, and schedule.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve any issues that arise during construction.
- Ensure that all construction work adheres to building codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure that all materials and workmanship meet required standards.
- Maintain material delivery/storage logs
- Document any deviations from plans and specifications and work with the project team to develop corrective actions.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures on the construction site.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
- Address and rectify any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that all milestones are met.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and completion of work.
- Track project progress and report any delays or issues to the project manager.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
- Add sub daily reports, review material testing reports and update testing logs
- Prepare and submit regular reports on project status, including updates on budget, schedule, and any issues or concerns.
- Ensure that all necessary permits and inspections are obtained and documented.
- Facilitate effective communication between all project stakeholders, including project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.
- Attend and participate in project meetings, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field required.
- Minimum 3 years of Construction experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
- Must have strong knowledge and experience with all applicable Florida building codes.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and construction management software.
- OSHA certification and other relevant certifications/licenses are preferred.
