Medical Assistant II - Bourbonnais

We are searching for a compassionate and self-motivated Medical Assistant who thrives in a busy work environment and is passionate about providing top quality patient care. This role will be a great fit for someone who has experience providing point of care testing, injections, and is comfortable working administrative as well as clinical tasks.

Location: 656 N. Convent St Suite C. Bourbonnais, IL

Work Schedule: FT. 40 hours. with start times between 7:15-8:15am and close times between 5:00-6:00pm

Team Structure: 2 Physicians / 1 Nurse Practitioner, 1 Practitioner Assistant / 4 Medical Assistants / 1 Registered Nurse

This Position is responsible for administrative as well as clinical tasks, such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, assisting physicians with exams, and performing front-desk tasks. Tasks may include appoint scheduling, answering, and returning patient calls, and coordinating daily office activities. This position conveys a positive image of the office and provides information as needed to ensure patients are aware of all benefits of the office.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.

2. Medical Assistant Certification.

3. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

4. Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.

5. Work experience in health care preferred.

6. Current Phlebotomy certification or Competency required.
