Responsibilities
The Regional Chief Nurse Officer (CNO) is a Registered Nurse (RN) who assumes 24-hour administrative responsibility for the management and coordination of all nursing functions throughout the designated region. Oversees the delivery of patient care and ensures that local, state, and federal guidelines are followed. Collaborates with the leadership of various service lines in order to develop and implement organizational plans including policies, protocols, standardized care and performance improvement activities. Effectively utilizes nursing staffing metrics, dashboards and other data tools in order to monitor the financial stability and quality scores for the Nursing Services. Consults and communicates with local Directors, Staff, Physicians and Administration through site visits, meetings, committees and rounds. Addresses patient care delivery issues and ensures local adoption of corporate policies. Available to travel to all facilities across the enterprise.
