Responsibilities
Coordinates and Facilitates admissions to the Behavioral Health Unit. Answers inquiry calls from all persons with regard to information about hospital services and programs. Facilitates the admissions, verifies insurance information and ensures Intake information is faxed to appropriate facilities. Obtains initial authorization for Commercial insurance plans, Medi-Cal and non-contracted insurance in a timely manner.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Associate’s Degree in Human Services field preferred2. Two (2) years’ experience working with psychiatric population preferred
La Palma Intercommunity Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $25.60. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
