Responsibilities

This is a MS SQL Server DBA role largely responsible for providing operational database services to the organization. Some of the primary responsibilities of this role would include owning, tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests, fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs, reviewing service related reports (e.g.: database backups, maintenance, monitoring) on a daily basis to ensure service related issues are identified and resolved within established SLAs, responding to database related alerts and escalations and working with database engineering to come up with strategic solutions to recurring problems. This MS SQL Server DBA role requires a service oriented mentality, high sense of ownership of the problems and requests assigned, focus on managing and resolving issues in alignment with the SLAs, establishing and maintaining communication with technology customers to keep them updated with status of their requests, initiating and performing changes on production systems and proactively escalating any issues that cannot be resolved within the established timeframes.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

• MCSA Certification or MSCE Microsoft Certification preferred, or equivalent required.
• Seven years (7) or more years of applicable work experience.
• Knowledge of server's configurations and hardware installation.
• SQL Server, Backup Technologies, Disaster Recovery.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects.
• Must be able to work independently and proactively.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, LAN and WAN
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems

Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $85,841.60 to $160,680.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
