This role involves maintaining the general ledger, conducting necessary analysis to ensure accurate reporting, reviewing accounts payable disbursements, and ensuring correct accounting of payments. The Restaurant Accountant will also assist external auditors, contribute to state and local tax filings, stay up-to-date on accounting standards, and possess a strong understanding of accounting technology.
Your Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing, with accuracy and timeliness, all accounting functions for our entities
- Work in conjunction with the Controller performing bank reconciliations, managing accounts payable and processing timely payments for our restaurants
- Reconcile daily sales summary and daily collections
- Support our operators via restaurant systems reporting and ticketing system
- Work in conjunction with the payroll department on the biweekly payroll process
- Utilize Restaurant365 in month-end close management, reconciliation, and analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, with strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- 2-to-4 years accounting experience preferably within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Proficiency Restaurant 365 and experience with multi-location operations.
- Use of artificial intelligence tools, including Factura.ai, to process A/P, a plus.
- Support Controller by maintaining the effectiveness of internal controls to safeguard assets and resources.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
