Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee technology projects focused on software integration and implementation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contemporary project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, along with a background in managing complex technical initiatives. Experience in the retirement industry is highly desired.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and deliver software integration and implementation projects on time and within scope and budget.
- Collaborate with and help lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and business stakeholders, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Participate in and support organizational business transformation initiatives
- Lead cross-functional PMO-type responsibilities that cover both technology and business workstreams
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, risk mitigation, and communication strategies.
- Utilize contemporary project management tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, or Microsoft Project to track project progress and milestones.
- Identify and resolve project risks and issues, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in technology project execution.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate project status, updates, and key deliverables to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage joint project plans across multiple third-party vendors.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience managing software integration and implementation projects.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment that requires agility, flexibility and responsiveness to changing market and business dynamics.
- Detailed-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Results and outcome-oriented while balancing effective change and stakeholder management
- Strong proficiency in contemporary project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches).
- Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana, Microsoft Project).
- Technical acumen and ability to work closely with software engineers, product managers, and IT teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP, CSM, or other relevant project management certifications are preferred.
- Experience in the retirement and/or financial services industry and relevant software and systems (ie, Pension Pro, FT William, retirement recordkeeping, retirement plan administration, trust accounting, etc...) is a plus.
- Experience implementing and/or working with payroll systems, payment systems, identify management solutions, digital communications/messaging solutions, account aggregation services, AI/LLM, robotic process automation (RPA), workflow and data warehousing solutions also a plus.
