Job Title : Histology Technician

Location : White River Junction, VT

Duration : 7 Months

Start Date : April 2025

Shift Schedule : 40 hours per week

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in Histology and Cytology.
  • If shortlisted, CME is required.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform grossing, embedding, cutting, staining, and cover-slipping of tissue specimens.
  • Assist in cutting surgical, frozen sections, and possibly autopsies as required.
  • Utilize equipment, instruments, and specialized techniques to process specimens while maintaining integrity and meeting laboratory standards.
  • Prepare special stains as requested by pathologists for diagnostic purposes.
  • Serve as a back-up morgue assistant in the absence of the contract diener, assisting with autopsies, body identification, setup, closure, and cleanup.
  • Ensure adherence to laboratory protocols, safety regulations, and quality assurance standards.
