Job Title : Occupational Therapist (OT) Location : St. Louis MO 63106 & Nearest CBOC locations Duration : 6 12 Months Shift Schedule : 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm (Monday Friday) Qualification : Education : Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Bachelor's or Master's in Occupational Therapy). Certifications : Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in any U.S. state. Certifications : BLS (AHA) and Skill Checklist Experience : Minimum 2 years of professional occupational therapy experience in a hospital or ambulatory care setting, based on specialty area (e.g., lymphedema, rehabilitation, outpatient therapy). Responsibilities : Conduct occupational therapy evaluations to determine patient needs. Develop and implement personalized treatment programs to improve functional independence. Assist patients in regaining motor skills for daily activities, including dressing, eating, and personal hygiene. Provide adaptive techniques and assistive devices to enhance mobility and self-sufficiency. Train patients on ergonomic strategies and workplace modifications for improved functionality. Maintain detailed patient records and progress reports in VA's Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. Work closely with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Educate patients and caregivers on rehabilitation exercises, home modifications, and assistive technologies. Participate in discharge planning and ongoing rehabilitation assessments. Ensure compliance with VA safety policies, infection control, and therapy best practices.
