Job Title : Pharmacist - Oncology
Location : Pittsfield, MA
Start Date : Feb 24, 2025
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift Schedule : Monday-Friday 7a-3.30p and / or 8ap and / or 8.30a-5p. Must be available for any / all shifts as needed 40hr
Qualification :
Experience : 5 years extensive acute care clinical experience
Education : Doctoral of Pharmacy (Pharm D) required
License : MA state License
Certifications : BLS (AHA)
Responsibilities :
Prepare, dispense, and monitor chemotherapy and oncology-related medications, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
Work closely with oncologists, nurses, and healthcare teams to develop and adjust treatment plans for optimal patient outcomes.
Adhere to USP
guidelines for handling hazardous drugs and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory policies.
Provide guidance to patients and healthcare staff on chemotherapy protocols, side effects, and new oncology treatments.
Requires a PharmD or BPharm, an active pharmacist license, and preferably Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP).
