Security Director

Job Overview
The Director of Security is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of security operations within the organization. This role requires a proactive leader who can develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to protect personnel, property, and assets. The ideal candidate will possess strong conflict management skills and have a background in law enforcement or military service. This position demands a keen understanding of surveillance systems, loss prevention techniques, and emergency response protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure a safe environment for all employees and visitors.
• Manage the security team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures.
• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of surveillance systems including CCTV.
• Respond to security incidents, investigate breaches, and prepare detailed reports on findings.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies to enhance security measures and response strategies.
• Provide first aid and CPR training to staff members as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices in loss prevention, and conflict management techniques.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a security management role or related field, preferably with a background in law enforcement or military service.
• Strong knowledge of surveillance technologies and loss prevention strategies.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff at all levels.
• Ability to analyze situations quickly and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing security operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
