Navis Food Partners, a leading food service company with annual revenues of $600 million, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Human Resources. This role is pivotal in fostering a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment that aligns with our business goals.
The Vice President of Human Resources will oversee all HR functions in our Londonderry, NH company, Prime Source Foods, as well as crafting the people strategy for Navis Food Partners' growing platform of companies.
Please note that we will not be considering candidates who require relocation. Our first preference is for individuals who can work on-site in Londonderry. The second preference is for those who can report to our East Haven, CT location. While multi-site responsibility is a key aspect of the role, the ability to travel to other sites is a plus but not a requirement.
Requirements
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s overall business strategy.
- Partner with senior leadership to drive business growth and operational excellence.
- Advise executives on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management.
Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
- Develop and implement talent management programs, including career development, succession planning, and leadership development.
Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Foster a positive workplace culture and employee engagement through effective communication and initiatives.
- Address and resolve employee relations issues, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
- Implement programs to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Conduct regular market analysis to ensure competitive pay practices.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local compensation and benefits regulations.
Performance Management:
- Develop and oversee performance management systems that drive high performance and accountability.
- Implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
- Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Manage HR-related risks, including employee safety and health.
HR Metrics and Reporting:
- Utilize HR metrics and analytics to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Prepare and present reports on HR activities, performance, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the food service industry or a similar sector.
- Proficiency in HR software and systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
