Job Title: Transition Management Lead
Location: Seattle, WA, hybrid 3x a week
Rate: $75-100/hr
Job Summary:
Our PNW client is deeply committed to improving their digital presence and improving customer engagement. They are undergoing a significant transformation and are looking for a dedicated Transition Management Lead to help navigate this change successfully. The primary role of this position is to manage the intentional series of activities to prepare the workforce for the work that will need to be done in the interim state and address any gaps that need to be filled.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive plan, timeline, and governance framework for HR, IT, and WFM workforce transition.
- Assess employees against the skills, capabilities, and competencies required for new roles.
- Identify and analyze the best-fit roles for employees and any skill gaps.
- Develop processes for employee selection, de-selection, resource deployment, and acquisition, when applicable.
- Develop skills, capabilities, and competencies to address identified gaps.
- Retain key HR, IT, and WFM employees.
- Establish a team to appropriately manage the transition in a timely manner.
- Match employees into new roles based on design and understanding of current capabilities.
- Determine remaining gaps and outline strategies for training, skills development, and recruitment.
- Build or source training solutions to upskill existing personnel and recruit new employees for open roles.
- Finalize go-live plans by ensuring all employees are prepared, informed, and ready for the upcoming change.
- Deploy and track performance metrics to ensure the sustained success of the new organization.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing workforce transitions, preferably in HR, IT, or WFM.
- Strong understanding of workforce transition processes and best practices.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to assess and develop employee skills, capabilities, and competencies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders.
- Experience in developing and implementing training and recruitment strategies.
