Position: Interim Director of Nursing
Prime Time Healthcare is looking for an accomplished Interim Director of Nursing for an assignment near Springer, NM. The DON will help coordinate and supervise all nursing activities within a Skilled Nursing Facility. Job Duties
· Plan and coordinate patient care and patient care plans
· Define standard of nursing and assess quality of care being administered
· Initiate development of policies and procedures
· Verify employee credentials
· Plan, develop, and implement a budget for staffing needs
· Make rounds and periodic spot checks of condition of patients
· Investigate complaints and take corrective action as needed
· Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed
· Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Readiness to stay updated on evolving standards in nursing administration, excellent talent for leading and nurturing staff, strong communication and interpersonal abilities and exceptional organizational and stress-handling skills
· Active RN license in NM
· At least 2 years of experience in a SNF/LTC setting
· Up to date TB test, physical and BLS/CPR
