STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Summary and Scope of Responsibility :
This position is responsible for fleet asset accounting and reconciliations, assists with balance sheet reconciliations, performs journal entries, performs bank reconciliations, and assists with completing various monthly and quarterly reports for corporate in additional management custom reports. This is an in-office position, with potential future growth to a controller position. This position reports to the controller.
Responsibilities :
Set up new vendors in coordination with Accounts Payable Manager
Set up new jobs in the ERP and maintain job change orders
Perform bank reconciliations for assigned accounts
Perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
Perform journal entries as part of the month end closing process for various transactions
Tie out capital expenses in the GL to include acquisitions and dispositions with CFO, Controller, and Fleet Manager including use of the TDS (in house equipment workflow), CPS (Ecosys Capital Budget Planning Software), JD Edwards fixed asset system, and Hubble reporting system
Annually reconcile capital equipment across the GL with fleet records
Twice a year recalculate equipment allocation costs, including unallocated indirect expenses, and develop new incremental charge rates
Complete various supplemental reporting Day 10-16
Perform ad hoc reporting.
Assist with data formatting / uploads for WEX fuel and P-Card files
Create uploads for the Accounts Payable team to allocate fuel and other indirect costs
Additional Responsibilities :
Use advanced Excel skills (VlookUps, Pivot tables) to assist team members to streamline tasks and reduce errors
Other duties as assigned
Required :
Bachelors degree in accounting or similar field
Masters degree not required but preferred
CPA or CPA eligible not required but preferred
1-2 years of work experience preferred, but would consider a new grad with work / intern experience
