What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Coordinator position at Prime Vacations?
Position Summary:
Prime Vacations is looking for a Compliance Coordinator to coordinate the preparation and completion of regulatory and compliance documents to ensure the satisfaction of federal, state, and local government requirements. In this role, candidates will oversee several projects at one time and will actively maintain a rotating list of properties managed by Prime Vacations.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Work in partnership with the Compliance Manager to update and implement a comprehensive compliance program.
- Assist Compliance Manager with preparation and completion of regulatory compliance documents.
- Assist the Compliance Manager with applications for city and county business licenses and permits in regulated areas.
- Research and report on current regulations and ordinances.
- Assist Compliance Manager with renewal licensing for existing and new properties/homes.
- Provide accurate and timely resolution on compliance issues to limit potential impact to owners and guests.
- Proactively audit documents to identify errors.
- Perform daily administrative duties contributing to the overall completion of department workload.
- Collaborate with Compliance Manager on any needed audits.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and other duties, as needed.
Required Education and Experience:
- AS/AA Degree, or equivalent years of experience (2-4 years).
- Proven experience in a compliance role or risk management.
- Basic understanding of permitting and regulations.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to properly assess problems and provide solutions.
- Intermediate Computer Skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to learn new programs and adapt to their functional use.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders and municipalities
- Possess a collaborative work style, while being equally able to operate independently.
- A positive attitude with the desire to learn and improve.
- Ability to be a self-starter, prioritize and manage multiple assignments at any given time while meeting deadlines.
- Experience working in a fast-growing business environment preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
- High Language Skills (Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals/journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manual. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.)
- Intermediate Mathematical Skills (Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, portions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.)
- High Reasoning Skills (Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished and written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.)
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and on-call shifts.
