Information Security Analyst 1

The Information Security Analyst 1 OE responsible for user, applications, and systems administration; will monitor, document, and implement security modifications in the distributed and mainframe environments.

Candidate must live in the Metro Atlanta area

Salary: up to $59K

This is a hybrid role: 1 day in office.

Essential Functions:

• Performs daily administration of information security on distributed Windows, LDAP and Mainframe systems as directed.
• Maintains the security infrastructure following best practices while maintaining a high level of availability and ease of user access.
• Performs testing of computer systems and applications to monitor effectiveness of security.
• Manage user accounts and access permissions; IAM.
• Analyzes information security requests and provides solutions as directed.
• Works with end users to ensure understanding of and adherence to established data and computer security policies.
• Assists with troubleshooting of applications or infrastructure, related to security technology.
• Assist in producing security reports and security audit artifacts.
• Use ticketing systems as directed to manage work effort and participates in technical projects as a task or sub-project owner.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• High School Diploma or GED required and 2 years relevant work experience OR bachelor’s degree in information systems and 1-year relevant experience.
• Excellent knowledge of information security principles and best practices is preferred.
• SSCP, GSEC, GIAC, Security or related certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Okta, Two Factor, Multifactor Authentication is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with IT Systems Administration or Security preferred
• Hands-on administration experience with Microsoft Windows AD, Microsoft Azure AD, eDirectory and/or other commercial LDAP user and group provisioning is preferred.
• Hands-on administration experience with NTFS security permissions and folder security preferred
• Hands-on administration experience with MS Office 365 Suite (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and others)
• Hands-on experience with IBM mainframe RACF (zSecure)
• Hands-on experience with Windows PowerShell, WinSql/MySql Database Management Software
• Understanding of information security
• Organized, responsive, and detail oriented.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work well with other team members.
• Ability to work on multiple complex tasks concurrently.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff.
• Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
