Summary
Responsibilities include providing and maintaining a covert and proactive surveillance operation that protects the company’s gaming licenses and assets. Directs the activities of the Surveillance Operators and Surveillance Technicians to ensure they are in accordance with all company standards, policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Views the casino areas for identification of cheating activities, undesirables, pilferage and embezzlement. Responds to and reports any identified incident to the appropriate personnel.
- Monitors sensitive areas such as cashier cage, hard count, soft count, table drops, etc. continually to ensure adherence to state gaming regulations and in-house internal controls.
- Assists Security in protecting the welfare of the employees and guests of the casino / hotel.
- Reviews surveillance tapes based on requests from outside departments.
- Maintains monthly composites, evidence composites and files for the surveillance department. May compile evidence involving criminal activity as the need arises.
- Maintains strict confidentiality for the company when conducting observations and investigations.
- Manages the Surveillance Technicians regarding equipment related problems.
- Coordinates with local, state and federal law enforcement in the investigation of criminal activity which occurred on company property.
- Maintains an inventory of surveillance forms and supplies. Makes requisition to replenish the same as the need arises.
- Reviews and approves Surveillance Operators daily log files and reports and ensures all needed information is gathered for the completion of reports.
- Maintains and upgrades as necessary all Internal Controls Procedure Manuals.
- Trains surveillance operators to detect any procedural errors, potential cheating, or suspicious activity that may be a threat to the company, and ensures enforces all policies and procedures.
- Ensures surveillance operators are able to operate surveillance equipment for extended periods of time or as needed to ensure accurate video documentation, with regard to irregularities or deviations from normal activities in all areas of responsibility.
- Trains Surveillance Operators on the operation of newly installed equipment.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned. Maintain strict confidentiality for the company when conducting observations and investigations.
- Maintains the skills necessary to operate CCTV / digital equipment to conduct surveillance.
- Review and monitor Surveillance Agents Activities
- Strong written and oral communication
- Ensures proper and effective development of Staff members takes place.
- Leads surveillance operators by being present on various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Directly responsible for the actions and job assignments of team members. Provides training, supervises, evaluates, provides coaching and leads team members.
- Demonstrate Leadership abilities, including but not limited to, coaching training, and motivating all surveillance personnel in their daily activities
- Observes the precepts of truth, accuracy and prudence; without allowing personal feelings, prejudices, animosities, or friendships to interfere or influence judgments.
- Reports to the Director Surveillance any violations of law, gaming regulations, and company policies and procedures, as well as all pertinent information regarding the Surveillance department.
- Ensures compliance with all Surveillance Department and Company policies and procedures.
- Attend court, hearings and other legal meeting, acting as a witness for Primm Valley Resorts.
- Ensures the checking and monitoring of all surveillance equipment to ensure these are in good working condition.
- Ensures the troubleshooting and repairing of surveillance equipment as the need arises.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Experience in a managerial role Surveillance, Investigator or Table Games, with the ability to supervise and train effectively.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must obtain Nevada Gaming Registration
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
