Engineering Intern - Premier PV

In this role, you will be responsible supporting a team of engineers with developing and designing innovative EBOS systems for the renewable industry. This will include creating detailed designs using AutoCAD and/or Solid works Design software as well as the following:

Applying knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability

Develop and test prototypes to validate design concepts

Conduct feasibility studies and make design recommendations based on analysis of data and performance metrics

Participate in design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Provides basic routine professional administrative and engineering support for an engineering team(s) involved in developing and designing innovative EBOS systems and products including solar harnesses and disconnect boxes.
• Creates detailed routine designs using AutoCAD and/or other software platforms; works closely with manager and/or leads to develop and test prototypes to validate design concepts.
• Supports cross-functional team(s) using learned concepts to develop electromechanical designs from concept to production phase.
• Updates part number(s) matrix and pricing in system of record. Creates basic routine BOMs and completes submittal for quotes.
• Working closely with manager(s) and/or lead(s) may conduct feasibility studies and make recommendations based on analysis of data and performance metrics.
• Actively participates with team(s) in design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Actively enrolled in a 4 year Engineering Degree Program.
• Junior standing or above.
  
  

BENEFITS AND PAY:

• $24 - $33, hourly dependent on experience, qualifications, and competencies
