What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse/Yard Supervisor - Communications position at Primoris?
The Warehouse / Yard Supervisor will be responsible for managing inventory at our San Antonio, TX operations facility. This includes receiving and conducting inventory on all materials received at the facility.
Primary Responsibilities :
The warehouse / yard manager will be responsible for overseeing receiving, warehousing, laydown yard, and distribution operations. The manager will be required to assist with receiving / distributing / maintaining / organizing all materials in B Comm warehouse. Must have experience with pallet jacks. Must care for tools, and equipment, and assist in facilities maintenance as needed.
- Manual labor work in construction
- Track and monitor inventory both receiving and going out
- Load trucks with materials
- Operating small hand tools
- Operating and cleaning machinery
- Operating a forklift as needed (certification preferred)
- Working in an outdoor setting
- Maintaining in the shop / yard area to OSHA standards
- Ordering inventory from vendors and suppliers and securing shipment arrival times
- Managing inventory by stocking and cataloging and discarding inventory that does not meet the company's standards
- Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with Supervisor
- Reporting discrepancies in inventory that indicate theft, such as too little inventory at last count
