We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our largest clients for a position of Oracle DBA Lead to work Houston, TX
Requirements
- Oracle Clusterware Design & Implementation: Administer and configure Oracle Clusterware in multi-node environments.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Excellent problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving Oracle Clusterware issues.
- Multi-Tenant Architecture: Design and manage Oracle's multi-tenant architecture, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Disaster Recovery & High Availability: Design and implement DR plans and HA solutions. Extensive knowledge of DataGuard in multi-node environments is essential.
- Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Matrix Configuration: Implement and maintain Oracle Enterprise Manager and associated matrix configurations.
- Oracle ASM Configuration & Administration: Manage Oracle ASM and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Performance Tuning & Analysis: Analyze AWR, ADDM, ASH reports, and query execution plans to ensure optimal database performance.
- Backup and Recovery Expertise: Manage Oracle backup and recovery procedures, including RMAN, to safeguard critical data.
- Patching & Upgrades: Plan, execute, and manage patching and upgrades for Oracle databases.
- General Oracle Services: Administer and configure Oracle services, including LISTENER configuration and TNSNAMES.
Qualification
- 8-10 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA.
- Expertise in Oracle Clusterware, multi-node architecture, and DataGuard.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with Oracle Clusterware.
- Extensive experience with Oracle backup and recovery using RMAN.
- Solid experience with Oracle ASM and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Deep knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization using AWR, ADDM, and ASH.
- Hands-on experience with patching, upgrades, and service management in Oracle environments.
