What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asst. Superint.-Roadways position at Prince Contracting, LLC?
Supervises road projects and performs daily inspections
Monitors job cost, quality control, and productivity
Provides leadership with focus on safety
Coordinates all manpower, materials, and equipment
Organizes and plans the work with the Superintendent and Project Management team
Has direct oversight and responsibility of time sheets for labor and equipment, as well as daily report complete with quantities worked
Reviews, maintains, and monitors the crew’s productivity and goals on a daily basis
Enforces quality control and Company safety policies in all aspects of the work
Follows the project construction process to ensure that work is completed on time
Provides job hazard analysis prior to work activities
Ensures that delivery receipts are collected and submitted to engineers
Job Requirements:
Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience working on roadway related construction
Knowledge of calculating and setting grades of all types of roadway construction equipment and forming systems associated with roadway construction
OSHA 10 certified
Strong leadership skills, particularly when facing adversity and personality management
Excellent attention to detail with emphasis on quality and safety
Excellent communication and problem- solving skills
Knowledge of asphalt and concrete paving, storm sewer, shoring excavation, concrete work, earthwork, erosion control, dewatering and utility construction
Knowledge of traffic control and MOT certified for GDOT projects
