What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asst. Superint.-Roadways position at Prince?
- Supervises road projects and performs daily inspections
- Monitors job cost, quality control, and productivity
- Provides leadership with focus on safety
- Coordinates all manpower, materials, and equipment
- Organizes and plans the work with the Superintendent and Project Management team
- Has direct oversight and responsibility of time sheets for labor and equipment, as well as daily report complete with quantities worked
- Reviews, maintains, and monitors the crew’s productivity and goals on a daily basis
- Enforces quality control and Company safety policies in all aspects of the work
- Follows the project construction process to ensure that work is completed on time
- Provides job hazard analysis prior to work activities
- Ensures that delivery receipts are collected and submitted to engineers
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience working on roadway related construction
- Knowledge of calculating and setting grades of all types of roadway construction equipment and forming systems associated with roadway construction
- OSHA 10 certified
- Strong leadership skills, particularly when facing adversity and personality management
- Excellent attention to detail with emphasis on quality and safety
- Excellent communication and problem- solving skills
- Knowledge of asphalt and concrete paving, storm sewer, shoring excavation, concrete work, earthwork, erosion control, dewatering and utility construction
- Knowledge of traffic control and MOT certified for GDOT projects
