Account Manager
Location : Greater Asheville, NC Area
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The Account Manager’s role is to create long-term trusting relationships from a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities.
Essential Functions & Expectations:
- Customer Engagement: Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters. Establish and cultivate strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders at customer organizations.
- Support: Provide support to customers throughout the sales and project implementation process. Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
- Solution Development: Collaborate (internally & externally) with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality, and other departments to develop solutions.
- Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive account plans; to include pricing, share, locations
- Technical Expertise: Develop an in-depth understanding of our services, processes, and capabilities.
- RFQ Process: Lead the data collection, preparation and submission of proposals in response to Request for Quotation.
- Negotiation: Negotiate terms and contracts with customers, ensuring alignment with company policy, budget, and timelines.
- Project Handover: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to facilitate a smooth handover of secured projects, ensuring customer expectations are met.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed records of activities (via CRM) and report out sales metrics at regular intervals (by month, quarter, year)
- Market Insight: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and emerging opportunities, sharing insights with the team.
- Core Values: Uphold the highest standards of company core values in all interactions.
Qualifications, Experience, & Requirements:
- Experience in Business Development & Strategic planning activities.
- Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and technically minded.
- Knowledge of customer base & markets.
- Experience with digital platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, Website, etc.
- Willing to travel on a regular basis.
- Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Engineering, Technical or Business degree preferred.
- ~3 years of account management & sales experience in a manufacturing market.
