Basic Qualifications

This paraprofessional role involves assisting the classroom teacher with various tasks and implementing instructional procedures as directed. The work is carried out under the direct supervision of the teacher and the building administrator.

Duties & Responsibilities/Illustrative Ex Of Work
- Ensure the confidentiality of student information.
- Stay vigilant in supervising students.
- Show capability in working with students of varying abilities.
- Follow written and oral instructions to execute tasks and procedures related to instructional, behavioral, emergency, and health-related plans and services.
- Assist with clerical tasks, housekeeping duties, and bulletin board maintenance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Providing non-emergency health-related services as outlined in a student's Health Treatment Plan.
- Administering emergency treatment procedures to students as needed.
- Assisting in the safe and orderly movement of all students, including those with physical disabilities, to and from various school environments.
- Actively helping students with dressing, eating, toileting, positioning, and personal hygiene or health-related services (such as G-tube feedings and braces) and emergency plans, as needed.
- Changing soiled clothing in the event of toilet accidents.
Temporary rate $18.81/ hour.
