Position Summary
The Trainer/BCBA of Adult Day Program is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized intervention programs for clients enrolled in the adult life skills program. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of intervention strategies, staff training, and compliance with ethical and professional standards. The trainer will work closely with the Executive Director and other team members to maintain a supportive, data-driven, and client-focused environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise the selection and development of intervention goals.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of individualized intervention programs, including data collection, instructional procedures, and treatment protocols.
- Review and update intervention programs to ensure ongoing progress and appropriateness.
- Supervise the development of clients' daily and weekly schedules.
- Conduct regular data analysis to monitor program effectiveness.
- Recruit, interview, and hire staff members for position openings.
- Conduct formal and informal performance reviews, providing ongoing hands-on training and feedback.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations.
- Maintain an "open door" policy to encourage communication and feedback among staff members.
- Arrange and support off-the-job training experiences for staff.
- Provide training on various program issues, including data collection, treatment procedures, and professionalism.
- Review and act on annual consumer evaluations from clients, parents/guardians, co-workers, and external evaluators.
- Ensure program compliance with professional standards and ethical guidelines.
- Maintain and file staff members' professional credentials with appropriate monitoring agencies.
- Ensure that all clients are in good health and free from communicable diseases.
- Ensure program personnel obtain required physical examinations and TB tests.
- Perform all program activities in line with program policy, ethical and legal standards, and current professional literature.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding clients' information and ensure informed consent is obtained for all intervention phases.
- Uphold professional relationships with colleagues, clients, and community members, ensuring the program's reputation is protected and extended.
- Adhere to guidelines established by governing agencies (Division of Developmental Disabilities, Office of Licensing) and interact with agency representatives as needed
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Master's degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science, or a related field preferred.
- Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in behavior analysis, intervention program development, and staff supervision.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral analysis principles and intervention strategies.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to train and mentor staff.
- Proficient in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to assess program effectiveness.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- A valid driver's license is required to perform the job's essential duties.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Criminal history check, including fingerprinting, central registry, child abuse registry checks, exclusionary and motor vehicle history checks is required.
- 4-panel drug testing at hire and at random after hire is required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The position requires regular verbal and written/electronic communication. The role involves standing, walking, reaching, and kneeling, as well as the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. The work environment is primarily in a day program setting, involving interaction with clients and staff across various environments, including office spaces and employment sites, but may include residential homes and community locations.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
