Princeton Day School is seeking a dynamic Creative Content & Social Media Manager to elevate our digital presence. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, this role develops and executes social media strategy and creates compelling multimedia content that brings our distinctive educational experience to life with authenticity and creativity.
For this position, the ideal candidate is expected to:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the school's mission and marketing objectives across all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Flickr).
• Create compelling visual content, including high-quality photography at school events, short-form videos, and PDS Perspectives podcast production, while maintaining a strategic content calendar.
• Partner with admission and advancement teams to support enrollment and fundraising initiatives through targeted digital campaigns.
• Analyze social media metrics to optimize strategy and measure campaign effectiveness.
• Manage digital asset organization and archiving system for the school's growing multimedia library.
• Build relationships across the community to identify and showcase compelling storytelling opportunities with a knack for finding moments of joy and humor
• Coordinate with Communications Office team members to ensure visual and messaging consistency across all channels.
• Support school magazine production and website with timely multimedia content.
• Oversee professional video production projects and manage multimedia vendors.
• Support secondary school accounts, including alumni and athletics social media presence.
Qualifications & Personal Attributes:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field
• Experience in independent schools or higher education strongly preferred
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in content creation and social media marketing, with demonstrated success in building engagement and executing data-driven campaigns
• Advanced visual storytelling abilities, including professional-level photography, videography, and editing skills
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and other content creation tools such as Canva, Final Cut Pro, or similar
• Proven ability to analyze social media metrics and adapt strategies based on data insights and emerging trends
• A natural collaborator with an energetic, self-motivated personality who builds strong connections across departments and contributes to our vibrant school community
• Exceptional writing abilities for crafting engaging social media copy
• Periodic evening and weekend work required
This is a full-time 12-month exempt position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. that requires weekend and evening work as needed. This position works 5-days a week in the office located in Princeton, NJ.
