Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Coach to join our team. The Assistant Coach will play a vital role in educating students about the fundamentals of their respective sports while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
Duties
- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practice sessions for various sports, including basketball, cheerleading, martial arts, swimming, and gym activities.
- Educate athletes on techniques, strategies, and rules of the sport to enhance their performance.
- Provide individual feedback to athletes to help them improve their skills and confidence.
- Monitor student-athletes' progress and provide guidance on physical education and health-related topics.
- Foster a positive team culture that encourages participation, teamwork, and respect among all athletes.
- Organize team meetings and communicate effectively with athletes regarding schedules, expectations, and goals.
- Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure a cohesive training program across different sports disciplines.
- Work with the FS Tennis Players and coach them at meets.
Experience
- Previous experience in tennis is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with students in an educational or athletic setting is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage young athletes effectively.
- A commitment to promoting health, fitness, and teamwork among students is essential.
