We are seeking a skilled MS Access & MS SQL Server Application Developer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the agency's development team to modernize and maintain its portfolio of applications, ensuring smooth transitions and reliable operations. You will play a vital role in upgrading legacy systems, contributing to technical strategy, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
Modernization Projects :
Upgrade MS Access projects from ADP to ACCDB format.
- Migrate databases from MS SQL Server 2008 to MS SQL Server 2016 or newer.
Technical Strategy :
Contribute to defining the agency's future technical roadmap for application development.
Documentation & Best Practices :
Maintain best practices for code management and documentation.
Collaboration :
Work with internal developers and service providers to ensure application stability and reliability.
Customer Transformation :
Deliver exceptional customer service and provide the best transformation experience possible for end-users.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Technical Expertise :
Proficiency in MS Access (ADP / ACCDB) and MS SQL Server development (TSQL).
Testing and Support :
Strong understanding of user acceptance testing (UAT) and end-user support.
Collaboration :
Strong communication skills to collaborate with IT teams and agency personnel of varying technical expertise.
Professional Experience :
Previous experience supporting database migrations involving MS Access and MS SQL Server .
